ペンシクロン事業の独占販売権の取得に関する Gowan 社との契約締結のお知らせ


クミアイ化学工業株式会社（代表取締役：小池好智、本社：東京都台東区）は、Gowan
Company,L.C.C.傘下の Gowan Crop Protection Limited（以下 Gowan 社）との間で、殺
菌剤ペンシクロンの日本国内における独占販売契約を締結いたしました。


ペンシクロンは、Rhizoctonia solani が引き起こす植物病害に安定して高い効果を
示す殺菌剤の有効成分で、世界の多くの国々で使用されております。日本においては、
水稲、ばれいしょ、てんさい、芝などで使用され、単剤または混合剤として販売されて
おります。本事業は、水稲、ばれいしょ、てんさい等で使用される製品については 2020
年 8 月 1 日より開始し、各販社を通じて販売されます。また、芝用の製品であるセレン

ターフ ○やタフシーバ ○については、2020 年 10 月 1 日より当社子会社である株式会社
理研グリーンが一元販売いたします。


当社グループは Gowan 社と協力してペンシクロンを安定供給し、作物保護を通じて食
料の安定供給、農業の発展に貢献すると共に、緑化事業を通じて人と自然が調和する豊
かな社会の実現に貢献してまいります。また、ペンシクロン事業の日本における独占販
売権取得によって、当社およびグループの製品ポートフォリオを一層充実させ、更なる

Announcement of Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Gowan
Regarding the Pencycuron Business


Kumiai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Yoshitomo Koike, Main
Office: Taito-ku Tokyo, “Kumiai Chemical”) and Gowan Crop Protection Limited, a subsidiary of
Gowan Company L.L.C., (“Gowan”) entered into an exclusive distribution agreement regarding
Pencycuron, a fungicide, in Japan.


Pencycuron is an active ingredient of fungicide which has stable and high efficacy against plant
diseases caused by Rhizoctonia solani and used in many countries worldwide. In Japan, Pencycuron is
used for paddy rice, potato, sugar beet, turf and other crops in single agent or mixed formulations.
Kumiai Chemical will start the distribution of Pencycuron products for paddy rice, potato and sugar
beet through various distributors on August 1, 2020, and the distribution of CERENTURF® and
TURFSIBA® for turf exclusively through Rikengreen Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Kumiai Chemical, on
October 1, 2020.


Kumiai Chemical Group will cooperate with Gowan to achieve reliable supply of Pencycuron products,
promote the sustainable supply of foods and the development of agriculture by providing effective
plant protections, and, contribute to the realization of a prosperous society where people work in
harmony with nature through its greenery business. Obtaining this exclusive distribution right, Kumiai
Chemical Group will further reinforce its product portfolio and strengthen competitiveness in the
market.
