インドにおける合弁事業の開始について

Limited（ 以 下 「 PI 社 」 は 、 本 日 、 イ ン ド に お け る 水 稲 用 除 草 剤 ノ ミ ニ ー の 製 造 ・ 販 売 の た

めの合弁事業に関する合弁契約書を締結しましたので、お知らせいたします。
ノミニー（ビスピリバックナトリウム塩製剤）は当社主力製品の一つであり、除草効果に
優 れ る こ と か ら 、イ ン ド で は 200 万 ha 以 上 の 水 田 に 使 用 さ れ て お り ま す 。本 件 合 弁 事 業 を 通
じた現地での生産・販売活動により、オリジナル品としての品質維持とジェネリック品に対
する競争力強化の双方を実現することで、インドでのノミニー事業をさらに拡大して参りま
す。
両社は今般の提携により一層の関係強化を図り、当社の優れた製品を提供することで、イ
ンドの農業発展に貢献して参ります。

事 業 内 容：インド国内におけるノミニーの製造・販売
資 本 金：3 百万米ドル相当のインドルピー（予定）
出 資 比 率：クミアイ化学工業側 50％：PI 社側 50％
本 社 所 在 地：インド共和国ハリヤナ州グルグラム
代 表 者：未定（クミアイ化学工業側から 3 名、PI 社
側から 2 名の取締役を選任し、 社側取締

P I Industries and Kumiai Chemical to establish a Joint Venture in India

Tokyo, June 22, 2017: PI Industries Limited (PI) and Kumiai Chemical Industry Co. Ltd.
(Kumiai) jointly announced today to have entered into an agreement to establish a Joint
Venture Company (JVC) in India.

This JVC is being set up initially to manufacture and distribute Bispyribac Sodium, one of the
flagship agrochemical products of Kumiai, in India to achieve operational efficiencies and
further growth. Kumiai and PI, after due consultation, may also add more products to JVC
portfolio in future for evaluation, manufacture, registration and distribution in India to leverage
PI’s deep understanding of Indian agriculture, brand and reach with the Indian farmers and
Kumiai’s robust research and development capabilities for new products.

Mr. Koike, President of Kumiai and Mr. Mayank Singhal, MD and CEO of PI said on this
occasion that “both the companies are associated for more than forty years and this joint venture
will further strengthen our relationship and help us bring superior innovative solutions in India
to enhance farm productivity and also leverage manufacturing efficiencies of India under “Make
in India” initiative`.

To be formed by PI Life sciences Research Ltd (50%), a wholly owned subsidiary of PI, and
Kumiai Chemical Industry Ltd (50%) with the name PI Kumiai Private Ltd and headquarter at
Gurgaon, Haryana (India). The Joint Venture Company is expected to start its operations in
year 2018.
